WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN
Depending on the theme of the current exhibition (duration of each exhibition 6 months) and the specificity of the artist, the GRATALOUP museum organizes specific educational workshops for children.

During school time, for kindergarten, elementary and middle school children, intervention programs are developed in collaboration with teachers.

On extra-curricular time, the GRATALOUP museum also regularly offers workshops on Wednesdays or during school holidays. They are aimed at children from 7 to 14 years old. Group size: from 5 to 15 children.

The workshop offers a playful discovery of Contemporary Art in general through the specific color codes that characterize it (game of discovery of primary colors through the works on display). The educational work is also oriented towards the symbolism of the work presented and more particularly towards the notions of time and space in the Heaven and Earth exhibition. It is organized in 4 stages:

Discovery of the specificities of the artist - work on the material - game of research of the materials on the works and more generally in the place of the museum (exhibition place, garden)

Discovery of the artist's technique: rubbings

Small workshop for practicing and experimenting with rubbing with the provision of a sheet of paper and pastel chalk so that each child can also become an actor of his own creation and leave the workshop with a rubbing done by himself (material provided by the GRATALOUP museum )

Projection of a sound and light on the vault of the priory at the end of the workshop
Children will be able to acquire a souvenir (magnet or poster style) at the museum shop (goodies from €3.50 available at the shop)
